Hence the taranka looks like a bumble bee resting above a golden lotus.<\/p>\n<p>Rasa-tarangini Tika:<br \/>\nRangadevi is the sixth of R\u0101dh\u0101&#8217;s Ashta-sakhi group, and the twin sister of <strong>Sudevi.<\/strong> Like R\u0101dh\u0101, Rangadevi is a v\u0101m\u0101-madhy\u0101 n\u0101yik\u0101, possessing mid-range jealousy, her age is 14 years, 2 months and 4\u00bd days. <strong>Rangadevi&#8217;s dress<\/strong> is the color of a <strong>red jaba flower<\/strong>, and her bodily hue is l<strong>ike a lotus pod.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>She is noted for chandan seva. Rangadevi&#8217;s mother and father are <strong>Karuna and Ranga-sagar<\/strong>, her husband&#8217;s name is Raktekshan. In Gaura lila, she appears as Sri <strong>Govind Ghosh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Verse 82<br \/>\nOn the <strong>upper portion of R\u0101dh\u0101&#8217;s ears<\/strong>, Chitra Devi places golden <strong>chakra-shalaka<\/strong>. There are diamonds, rubies and sapphires in the middle attached to a row of pearls. At the bottom is a huge pearl hanging from a golden stud. Thus these two chakra-shalakas glitter-even more than the sun!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Decoration for R\u0101dh\u0101&#8217;s chin<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nVerse 83<br \/>\nUsing a jeweled pencil, Vishakha places a <strong>black dot of kasturi<\/strong> on<strong> R\u0101dh\u0101&#8217;s chin<\/strong> that resembles a black bee resting on a svarna-padma.<\/p>\n<p>Rasa-tarangini Tika:<\/p>\n<p>In K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a-bh\u0101van\u0101m\u1e5bta, <strong>Lalita<\/strong> performs this seva. Seeing this black dot, someone could guess: &#8220;Although the moon (R\u0101dh\u0101&#8217;s face) destroyed the darkness, it mercifully allows the small offspring of darkness to remain.&#8221;<br \/>\nLalita then gests with R\u0101dh\u0101: &#8220;Although I&#8217;ve drawn this black bindu which rises like a full moon from an ocean of madhurya, Krishna will consider its black color his own impression and smear it on his own body during Kandarpa keli with you!&#8221;<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nDecoration for R\u0101dh\u0101&#8217;s nose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Verse 84<br \/>\nR\u0101dh\u0101&#8217;s eyes are long and tapered, and her nose curves like the beak of a parrot. <strong>The elegant pearl that hangs<\/strong> from beneath her<strong> nose<\/strong> (attached with golden thread) defeats the beauty of the labani fruit.<\/p>\n<p>Rasa-tarangini Tika:<br \/>\nIn Krishna-bhavanamrita, Lalitla says that this pearl resembles a bael fruit. Yet it&#8217;s also an arrow that Kamadeva releases from the sharp tip of R\u0101dh\u0101&#8217;s nose to destroy Sri Mukunda&#8217;s patience!<br \/>\nLalita jokingly addresses this enchanting pearl:<br \/>\n&#8220;Oh hey nose ornament! You&#8217;re the sweet nectar bait that will allure the two restless fish of Shyamasundar&#8217;s eyes!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But overhearing, Vishakha answers,<br \/>\n&#8220;Hey Lalita! Our Krishna is like a whale swimming in an ocean of maha-prema-so as <strong>he can swallow our patience, fear and intelligence<\/strong>, he would easily swallow up this attractive hook (nose pearl) too! Therefore, oh Lalita, be careful of what you say-for nothing can subdue the strength of Krishna&#8217;s eyes!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Feeling embarrassed, Radhika&#8217;s eyebrows scorn, as she answers,<br \/>\n&#8220;Hey Lalita! O hey Vishakha! Why don&#8217;t you become like fish hooks to capture Krishna and enjoy him in your own befitting way!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Decorating R\u0101dh\u0101&#8217;s eyes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Verse 85<br \/>\nAs Radhika&#8217;s eyes resemble <strong>thirsty chakora birds<\/strong> who drink <strong>Krishna&#8217;s nectar-moon face<\/strong>, Vishakha decides to decorate their borders with black anjana-the color of Krishna&#8217;s body.<\/p>\n<p>Rasa-tarangini Tika:<br \/>\nIn Krishna-bhavanamrita, Sri Lalitaji performs this seva.
