At last, a <strong>brilliant red line of kunkum<\/strong> is placed between the part in R\u0101dh\u0101&#8217;s hair.<\/p>\n<h6>Rasa-tarangini Tika:<\/h6>\n<p>Sri Yadunandana Thakur says:<br \/>\n<em>k\u0101ma-yantra n\u0101ma ei lalita tilak heriy\u00e4 k\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47era hoy sarv\u0101\u1e45ge pulaka<br \/>\n<\/em>When Krishna sees this beautiful Kama-jantra tilak, his hairs stand erect!<\/p>\n<p>Krisha-bhavanamrita adds: After defeating Uma&#8217;s husband Shiva, R\u0101dha captured the moon-sliver from his head and placed it on her forehead! Now Sringara Rasa has personally appeared in the form of this Kama-yantra!<\/p>\n<p>As Lalita Devi uses kasturi to paint <strong>dolphins on R\u0101dh\u0101&#8217;s soft cheeks<\/strong>, she calls out to <strong>Cupid, who is also known as Makara-ketana or Makara-dhvaja, <\/strong>meaning the one who has <strong>dolphins on his standard<\/strong>, and says: &#8220;Hey Kandarpa! Come and sit on this asana! Then you&#8217;ll see that during raho keli (intimate pastimes), you will be worshiped by Sri Krishna&#8217;s red tongue!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lalita then instructs the two dolphins: &#8220;Oh Makari-yugal! When Krishna&#8217;s dolphin earrings touch you-marry them! One might conclude that when Kamadeva saw the mere arching of R\u0101dh\u0101&#8217;s eyebrows, he instantly fled love&#8217;s battlefield, abandoning all his weapons in this kucha yugala storehouse!<\/p>\n<h6>Rasa-tarangini Tika:<\/h6>\n<p><strong>The dolphin<\/strong> is<strong> Kamadeva&#8217;s carrier.<\/strong> The <strong><span class=\"wsw-37\">clusters of flowers<\/span> <\/strong>mentioned are<br \/>\n<strong><span class=\"wsw-37\">ashoka<\/span> <\/strong>and<strong> <span class=\"wsw-37\">nava-mallika<\/span>.<\/strong> The lotus is the pink species<strong> (<span class=\"wsw-37\">aravinda<\/span>)<\/strong>.<br \/>\nWhen<strong> <span class=\"wsw-37\">mango buds<\/span> <\/strong>are included, these ingredients form<strong> Cupid&#8217;s panca-bana (five flower arrows) <\/strong>which cause<br \/>\nallurement, intoxication, torture and paralysis.<\/p>\n<p>The <span class=\"wsw-30\"><strong>sliver moon<\/strong><\/span> is <strong>Kandarpas bow<\/strong>.<br \/>\nSeeing R\u0101dh\u0101&#8217;s arching eyebrows, however, Cupid became afraid, dropped his bow, and admitted defeat-<strong>placing his weapons <\/strong>in the storehouse of<strong> R\u0101dh\u0101&#8217;s breasts! <\/strong><br \/>\nHence, all of Cupid&#8217;s powers lie here!<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>R\u0101dh\u0101-rasa-sudha-nidhi<\/strong>, Prabodhananda Saraswati advises:<br \/>\n&#8220;Oh mind! Just go to Vrindavan and meditate on Sri Vrishabhanu-nandini&#8217;s golden jug-like breasts, for they have the power to subjugate a million Cupids!
