\nBefore going to drafting you should know about midi dress. It is also called midi skirt. A midi dress is any dress that falls below the knee and above the ankle, the \u201cmid-calf\u201d hence where it gets it\u2019s name. This is a teen age girls attaire. \nCotton<\/strong><\/a>, linen, satin, polyester, silk<\/a>, crepe.<\/p>\n

Fabric required:<\/strong>
\n3.5 meter. Cloth width-36\u201d.<\/p>\n

Measurements:<\/strong>
\nFull length = 94cm, Body length = 36 cm, Shoulder width = 33cm, Sleeve length = 18cm, Bust = 82cm, Waist = 61cm Seat = 84cm.<\/p>\n

Body (back):<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • 1-0 = body length + 2cm,<\/li>\n
  • 2-0 = 1\/4th bust less 1cm<\/li>\n
  • 3-2 = 1\/4 bust + 4cm for loose<\/li>\n
  • 4-1 = 1\/4 waist + 6cm including dart. Join 3 to 4<\/li>\n
  • 5-0 = 1\/2 shoulder width + 1.5cm,<\/li>\n
  • 6 is squared down from 5.<\/li>\n
  • 7-5 = down, join 7 to 3 as shown (back armhole)<\/li>\n
  • 8-0 = 1\/12th bust. Join 8 to 7.<\/li>\n
  • 9-0 = 2 down, shape back neck from 9 to 8 as shown.<\/li>\n
  • A is center of 1 to 4.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Dart width = 2cm,<\/p>\n

    Dart length = 9cm.<\/p>\n

    Front:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • 1-0 = body length+1.5cm.<\/li>\n
    • 2-0 = \u00bc bustless1cm.<\/li>\n
    • 3-2 = \u00bc bust+4cm.for loose.<\/li>\n
    • 4-1 = \u00bc waist+6cm.<\/li>\n
    • 5-0 = \u00bd shoulder+1.5cm.<\/li>\n
    • 6 is squared from 5.<\/li>\n
    • B-6 = 2.5cm up.<\/li>\n
    • 7-5 = down. Shape front armhole from7, B, 3.<\/li>\n
    • 8-0 = 1\/12 bust. join 8to7.<\/li>\n
    • 9-0 = 1\/12 bust+1cm.<\/li>\n
    • 10-12cm down.<\/li>\n
    • A is the centre of 4 and 10.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Dart width=2cm.<\/p>\n

      Length=9cm.<\/p>\n

      Skirt<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Skirt length = full length \u2013 body length.<\/p>\n

      1-0 = skirt length +1.5cm.<\/p>\n

      2-0 = 1\/4 seat less4cm.<\/p>\n

      3-2 = 1\/4 seat+4cm.<\/p>\n

      4-1= 1\/4 seat+10cm.<\/p>\n

      5-1 and 4-6 is bottom turn up. Join 6 to 1 and 4 to 5 as shown.<\/p>\n

      7-0 = 1\/4 waist+4cm.<\/p>\n

      8-7 = 1cm as per diagram.<\/p>\n

      Sleeves<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1-0 = sleeve length.<\/p>\n

      2-0 = 1\/8thbust+1.5cm.<\/p>\n

      2-0 = 1\/8thbust+1cm.<\/p>\n

      3-2 = 1\/4thbust+5cm.<\/p>\n

      4-1 = 24.5cm.<\/p>\n

      5-4 = 2.5cm.up.<\/p>\n

      6 = is centre point.<\/p>\n

      7-6 = 2cm.<\/p>\n

      8 = centre of 6to3.<\/p>\n
