Women\u2019s Shirt<\/strong>
\nThis is an upper for torso wear, used to wear by the girls and women. The feature of the shirt is having continues front open with button fastening. Either Short Sleeve or Long Sleeve is to be constructed. Normally one right Side chest pocket or two side chest pockets are required. Drafting of women\u2019s shirt is not easy like a-line frock drafting<\/strong><\/a>. In this article I will explain how to drafting women\u2019s shirt step by step.<\/p>\n

Suitable fabrics:<\/strong>
\nCotton 100%, Cambric, Poplin, Denim<\/a> [medium weight] Seer sucker, Polyester, Poly-crepe, Silk and Satin.<\/p>\n

Material required:<\/strong>
\n2. 25 meter cloth width 36\u201d, 1.90 meter cloth width 42\u201d to 44\u201d and 1.60 meter cloth width 60\u201d.<\/p>\n

Pattern parts:<\/strong>
\nFront cut 2. Back Cut 1. Sleeves cut 2. Cuffs cut 4. Yoke cut 2. Sleeve placket cut 4.<\/p>\n

Measurements required:<\/strong>
\nFull length 28\u201d, Shoulder width 17\u201d, N. W. length 16 \u00bd\u201d, Mid Bust 36\u201d, Waist 30\u201d, Hip 38\u201d, Neck 14, short Sleeve length 10\u201d, Long sleeve length 23\u201d, Cult 2 \u00bd x 11\u201d, Pocket Size 4 \u00be\u201c x 5 \u00bc .<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s Shirt Drafting Procedure:

Front part<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 \u2013 0 = Full length + 1 \u00bc\u201c for bottom hem + Seam.<\/p>\n

2 \u2013 0 = Armhole depth is Bust \u00bc (-) 1 \u00bc\u201d.<\/p>\n

3 \u2013 0 = N. W. length + \u00bd\u201d.<\/p>\n

4 \u2013 2 = Bust 1\/4 + 1 \u00bd\u201d.<\/p>\n

5 \u2013 3 = Same as 4 to 2 (-) \u00be\u201d.<\/p>\n

6 \u2013 1 = Same as 4 to 2 + \u00be\u201d.<\/p>\n

7 \u2013 0 = \u00bd shoulder width + \u00bd\u201d for seam.<\/p>\n

8 \u2013 0 = 1\/5th Neck + \u00bc\u201d.<\/p>\n

9 \u2013 0 = 1\/5th Neck shape neck part 9 to 8 as per draft.<\/p>\n

10 \u2013 8 = 1\/5th Neck.<\/p>\n

11 \u2013 7 = shoulder\u2019s slope 1 \u00bd\u201d.<\/p>\n

A to B \u00be\u201d upward at lower arm hole curve portion. C = is the centre of 3 to 5 measure. Dart length 8\u201d. Dart in take is \u00bd\u201d as per draft making this waist dart in front and back portion of the shirt will give the proper fitness in the waist portion of the shirt. 9 to 9A are the button standing line is \u00be\u201d. 9B to 9A is the parallel line to the drawn.<\/p>\n

Back part:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 \u2013 0 = Back part starting line.<\/p>\n

12 \u2013 0 = 1\/5th Neck + \u00bc\u201d.<\/p>\n

12 \u2013 13 = upward 2 \u00bc\u201d.<\/p>\n

14 \u2013 11 is down ward 2 \u00bc \u201d.<\/p>\n

14 to 15 is the back armhole curve.<\/p>\n

Short Sleeves:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 \u2013 0 = Short sleeve length + \u00bd\u201d.<\/p>\n

2 \u2013 0 = 1\/8th Bust ( \u2013 ) \u00bd\u201d.<\/p>\n

3 \u2013 2 = 1\/4th Bust + \u00bd\u201d.<\/p>\n

4 \u2013 1 = 3 to 2 measure ( \u2013 ) 1\u201d.<\/p>\n

3 \u2013 6 \u2013 0 = Back Sleeve Shape.<\/p>\n

3 \u2013 5 \u2013 0 is the front sleeve shape.<\/p>\n

Collar (Open collar type):<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 \u2013 0 = 3 \u00bc\u201d as standard.<\/p>\n

1 -2 = \u00bd Neck girth + \u00bc\u201d.<\/p>\n

3 \u2013 2 = Same as 1 to 0 measure.<\/p>\n

4 -2 = \u00be for shape.<\/p>\n

3 -5 = \u00bd upward.<\/p>\n
