मुकुन्दमुक्तावली
नवजलधरवर्णं चम्पकोद्भासिकर्णं विकसित नयनास्यं विस्फुरन्मन्दहासम् ।
कनकरुचिदुकूलं चारुबर्हावतंसं
कमपि निखिलसारं नौमि गोपीकुमारम् ॥१॥
“I bow to the divine son of the Gopis,
Who has the hue of a fresh raincloud, whose ears shine like champaka flowers,
Whose eyes and face are blossoming, and who radiates a gentle smile.
Clad in garments shining like gold, adorned with a charming peacock feather,
He is the essence of all beauty and excellence, beyond compare.”
सजलजलदनीलं वल्लवीकेलिलोलं
श्रितसुरतरुमूलं विद्युदुल्लासिचेलम्।
नतसुरमुनिजालं सन्मनोबिम्बलीलम्
सुररिपुकुलकालं नौमि गोपालबालम् ॥२॥
“I bow to the young Gopala,
Who is deep blue like a rain-filled cloud and delightfully playful with the cowherd maidens,
Who rests beneath the divine wish-fulfilling tree, with garments shining like lightning,
Who is adored by hosts of sages and gods, and who mirrors the purest minds,
Who is the destroyer of the enemies of the gods.”
सजलजलदनीलं दर्शितोदारलीलं
करतलधृतशैलं वेणुनादैः रसालम्।
व्रजजनकुलपालं कामिनीकेलिलोलं
कलितललितमालं नौमि गोपालबालम् ॥३॥
“I bow to the young Gopala,
Who is deep blue like a rain-filled cloud and reveals magnificent pastimes,
Who holds a mighty mountain in his hand and enchants with the sweet melody of his flute,
Who is the protector of the people of Vraja and delightfully plays with the Gopis,
Who is adorned with a graceful garland.”
स्मितललितकपोलं स्निग्धसंगीतलोलम्
ललितचिकुरजालं चौर्य-चातुर्य-लीलम्
शतमखरिपुकालं शातकुंभाभचेलं
कुवलयदलनीलं नौमि गोपालबालम् ॥४॥
“I bow to the young Gopala,
Whose charming cheeks glow with a gentle smile,
Who is fond of sweet, melodious music,
Whose curly locks are beautifully arranged, and who delights in playful mischief,
Who is the destroyer of Indra’s foes, clad in garments shining like gold,
And whose complexion is deep blue, like a lotus petal.”
मुरलिनिनदलोलं मुग्धमायूरचूडं दलितदनुजजालम् धन्यसौजन्यशीलम्।
परहितनवहेलं पद्मसद्मानुकूलम् नवजलधरनीलं नौमि गोपालबालम् ॥५॥
“I bow to the young Gopala,
Who is enchanted by the sweet melodies of his flute,
Who is adorned with a charming peacock feather,
Who has vanquished hordes of demons and is full of divine grace,
Who always delights in the welfare of others,
Who is dear to Goddess Lakshmi,
And whose complexion is like a fresh raincloud.”
मुखजितशरदिन्दुः केलिलावण्यसिन्धुः करविनिहितकन्दुः वल्लवीप्राणबन्धुः।
वपुरुपसृतरेणुः कक्षनिक्षिप्तवेणु- र्वचनवशगधेनुः पातु मां नन्दसूनुः ॥६॥
“May the son of Nanda protect me,
Whose face surpasses the autumn moon,
Who is an ocean of playful beauty,
Who holds a sweet candy in his hand,
Who is the beloved of the cowherd maidens,
Whose body is adorned with the dust of Vraja,
Who keeps his flute tucked at his waist,
And whose words charm even the cows.”
ध्वस्त-दुष्ट-शंखचूड! वल्लवीकुलोपगूढ! भक्तमानसाधिरूढ! नीलकण्ठपिञ्छचूड! ।
कण्ठलम्बिमंजुगुञ्ज! केलिलब्धरम्यकुञ्ज! कर्णवर्तिफुल्लकुन्द! पाहि देव मां मुकुन्द! ॥७॥
“O Mukunda, protect me!
O destroyer of the wicked Shankhachuda!
O beloved of the cowherd maidens!
O the one who resides in the hearts of devotees!
O adorned with a peacock feather on your crown!
O whose neck is adorned with beautiful garlands of gunja beads!
O who delights in play within charming groves!
O whose ears are decorated with blooming kundā flowers!”
यज्ञभंगरुष्ट-शक्रनुन्न-घोर-मेघ-चक्र- वृष्टिपूर-खिन्न-गोप-वीक्षणोपजात-कोप- क्षिप्त-सव्य-हस्तपद्म-धारितोच्च-शैल-सद्म- गुप्त-गोष्ठ रक्ष
रक्ष मां तदद्य पंकजाक्ष ॥८॥
“O Lotus-eyed Lord, protect me today!
When Indra, angered by the disruption of his sacrifice,
Unleashed terrifying storm clouds,
And torrential rains poured down, distressing the cowherds,
You, filled with compassion upon seeing their suffering,
With a mere flick of your lotus hand,
Lifted the great Govardhan mountain as a shelter,
Safeguarding the entire Vraja community.
O protector of the cows, protect me as well!”
मुक्ताहारं दधदुडुचक्राकारं सारं गोपीमनसि मनोजारोपि।
कोपी कंसे खलनिकुरुंबोत्तंसे वंशे रङ्गे दिशतु रतिं नः शार्ङ्गी॥९॥
“May Śārṅgī (Krishna, the wielder of the Śārṅga bow) grant us love and devotion!
He wears a radiant pearl necklace,
His form is the very essence of beauty,
He captivates the hearts of the Gopis,
He was the death of Kamsa and the destroyer of wicked foes,
He belongs to the noble Yadu dynasty,
And he ever delights in his divine pastimes.”

रतिमन्दरीकृत कन्दरं धृतमन्दरं
कुण्डलद्युतिमण्डलप्लुतकन्धरं
भज सुन्दरम् ॥११॥
गोकुलाङ्गनमङ्गलं कृतपूतनाभवमोचनं
कुन्द-सुन्दर-दन्त-मम्बुजवृन्द-वन्दित-लोचनम्।
सौरभाकर-फुल्ल-पुष्कर-विस्फुरत्-कर-पल्लवं
दैवत-व्रज-दुर्लभं भज वल्लवी-कुल-वल्लभम्

तुण्डकान्ति-दण्डितोरु-पाण्डुरांशु-मण्डलं
गण्डपालि-ताण्डवालिशालि-रत्न-कुण्डलम्।
फुल्ल-पुण्डरीक-खण्ड-क्लृप्त-माल्य-मण्डनं
चण्ड-बाहुदण्ड-मत्र-नौमि-कंस-खण्डनम् ॥१३॥
उत्तरङ्ग-दङ्गराग-सङ्गमाऽति-पिङ्गला
तुङ्गशृङ्ग-सङ्गि-पाणि-रङ्गनाऽति-मङ्गला
दिग्विलासि-मल्लिहासि-कीर्ति-वल्लि-पल्लवा
त्वां
स पातु फुल्ल-चारु-चिल्लिरद्य-वल्लवा ॥१४॥
इन्द्रनिवारं
व्रजपतिवारं
निर्धूतवारं
हृतघनवारम् ।
रक्षितगोत्रं
प्रीणितगोत्रम्
त्वां
धृतगोत्रं नौमि सगोत्रम्॥१५॥?
कंसमहीपति-हृद्गतशूलं
संततसेवित-यामुन-कूलम्।
वन्दे-सुन्दर-चन्द्रक-चूडं
त्वामहमखिल-चराचर-मूलम् ॥१६॥
मलयजरुचिरस्तनुजितमुदिरः
पालितविबुधस्तोषितवसुधः
मामति-रसिकः केलिभिरधिकः
स्मितसुभगरदः
कृपयतु वरदः ॥१७॥
उररीकृत-मुरली-रुत-भङ्गं
